VOLUNTEER
We could not have grown without your time and support, thank you! How to get involved as a volunteer? First and foremost: Come. Whether it is to the introductory sign-up meeting, the annual planning meeting, or a work party, your participation is heartily welcomed. If you have any questions please contact us.
Work Parties
Work Parties will likely occur every week; please check calendar for details.
*Help prepare Giving Garden Beds for planting or putting beds to rest
*Grow vegetables: transplant, seed, water, fertilize, pest control, and harvest
*Weed garden: weeding around Giving Garden Beds, office, shelter, gate beds, fence line
*Take waste bins up to the parking lot on Sundays
*Help with large volunteer work groups (eg. Boeing, Kiwanis, etc.)
Harvest Days
Harvest Days occur weekly starting in summer; please check calendar for details and follow our progress.
*Deliver produce to local food banks
*Maintain Giving Gardens and perimeter of garden; weeding, laying wood chips in pathways
Watering Team
Watering Team: As we enter the growing season, we have a lot to be done to get seeds started and transplanted. The greenhouse becomes full of many plants ready to go into the ground.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with watering the greenhouse seedlings and outside sprouts by hand. Please contact us if you are interested.
